ಕಳೆದ ಬಾರಿಯ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮನದುಂಬಿ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದ ಹಿರಿಯರು, ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ನೂರಾರು ಮಂದಿ. (ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೊರಟರೆ ಸಾಲು ಪುಟಗಳೇ ಬೇಕಾಗಬಹುದು.) ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀವೇಷ ಪಾತ್ರಧಾರಿಗಳ ದರ್ಶನ ಭ್ರಮರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಬಂದಿವೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಮುಖಪುಟ ಮತ್ತು ಪುಟ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹಳ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಬಂದಿವೆ. ಮುಖಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ರೂಪದರ್ಶಿಯಾದವರು ಪದವಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿನಿ. ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನ ಮೂಕಾಂಬಿಕ ನೃತ್ಯಶಾಲೆಯ ಸಹೃದಯಿ ನೃತ್ಯ ಕಲಾವಿದ ವಿದ್ವಾನ್ ದೀಪಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯೆ.

ನೂಪುರವು ಐದನೇ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಉತ್ತುಂಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಮಾತು. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಪಂಚಮಂ ಕಾರ್ಯಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಎಂದು ಓದುಗರಾದ ನಾವು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ತಾಳಲೇಬೇಕು. ಇದರ ಸಾರಥ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಾವು ಧನ್ಯತಾ ಧನ್ಯರು. ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿರಸವಂದಿಸಿರುವೆನಾದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ ಏನೋ ನೂಪುರ ಭ್ರಮರಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಲಿದೆ. ಕೃತಜತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೂ ಸಾಲದಾಗಿದೆ. ನರ್ತನ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಕನ್ಯೆಯೋರ್ವಳು ಆಕಾಶಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಮುಖಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತ ಭಂಗಿಯು ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆಯೆಂಬುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ. ಓದಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಇನ್ನೊಮ್ಮೆ ಓದುತ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಓದೋಣವೆಂಬುದು ಓದುಗನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಮಡಿಲು ತುಂಬಿದಂತಿದೆ.

In the Magha-phalguna edition of 2011, a write up on ‘Bhaminiya bhavabhivyakti’ by Mantapa Prabhakara Upadhya has been published. This write up takes one, through the different ávasthas’ of a ‘proshitha patika nayika’ . Sincere appreciation for the efforts shown by a male artiste on the pangs of separation of a woman!

While I was carried away through the story, I encountered a defect at the point where the noose of the well is mocking at her.. Till here, the story is told in the third person. But suddenly at this point, it becomes a first person’s experience. It took some time for me to get adjusted to the flow. No doubt the effort of the stalwart has to be lauded but this simple mistake made it fall short of a possible rasaanubhava…
